About Landau Days

The annual conference in the series "Landau Days" is organized by the Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics.

The conference is the continuation of a series of similar conferences in 1997-2013.

The conference Landau Days 2014 will be devoted to memory of passed away members of Landau Institute.
June 23 - memory day of Yuri Bychkov
June 24 - memory day of Nikolai Kopnin
June 25 - memory day of Sergei Manakov

Main subjects

  • condensed matter physics
  • low-dimension and mesoscopic systems
  • nonlinear dynamics
  • mathematical physics

Goals

bringing together researchers for presentation and discussion of recent results.

 

Framework:

the program is supposed to be compiled of about 30 invited talks (40 minutes duration each) distributed (mainly but not exclusively) between the main subjects listed above.

Location

Chernogolovka is a research center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, located 60 km from the center of Moscow, with regular public transportation to/from Moscow.
