Universal results in the theory of first-passage under restart
Date/Time: 12:30 23-Jun-2020
Abstract:
First passage under restart is a theoretical framework proposed to discribe a wide range of stochastic phenomena in physics, chemical kinetics and computer science. It was demonstrated that restart - interrupting a process followed by a new start - allows to control over the mean completion time and the splitting probabilities of stochastic processes. In this talk I will discuss the recent theoretical advance in this field with the particular attention to universal results.
